Comment
Methyl ethyl ketoxime MEKO) is formed upon contact with water or humid air.
Male rodents exposed to MEKO vapor throughout their lifetime developed liver
tumors. Since many commonly used chemicals cause liver tumors in rats and
mice, additional testing is planned by the MEKO supplier to determine any
relevance to humans. Until more data is known, exposure levels should be
maintained as low as possible.
4. FIRST AID INFORMATION
Eye Contact Immediately flush eyes with water for at least 15 minutes. Seek
medical attention.
Skin Contact Remove from skin and wash thoroughly with soap and water or
waterless cleanser. Get medical attention if irritation or other

Steps to be taken in case of spill or release
Determine weather to evacuate or isolate the area according to your local
emergency plan. Observe all personal protection equipment recommendations
described in Sections 5 and 8. For large spills, provide diking or other
appropriate containment to keep material from spreading. If diked material can
be pumped, store recovered material in appropriate container. For small
spills, wipe up or scrape up and contain for salvage or disposal. Clean area
as appropriate since spilled material, even in small quantities, may present a
slip hazard. Final cleaning may require the use of steam, solvents or
detergents. Dispose of saturated absorbent or cleaning materials
appropriately, since spontaneous heating may occur.
Local, state and federal laws and regulations may apply to released and
disposal of this material, as well as those material and items employed in the
